The Dutch Payments Association is a small and efficient organisation committed to easing the burden on its members<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>

The Association has an associative structure. Membership of the Dutch Payment Association is open to all providers in the end market payment system.<\/p>\n

General Member Assemblee (GMA)<\/strong>: Parties on the supply side of the Dutch market that focus on corporate or private end users, can become members of the Payments Association. They finance the Association and may take part in the GMA. The GMA\u2019s primary activities concern strategy and the approval of the annual accounts.<\/p>\n

Board:<\/strong> The Board makes substantive decisions on important issues, establishes policy frameworks and advises the Executive Board. The Board consists of nine people, with representatives from the supply side (appointed from the members of the Payments Association) and three independent Board Members, including the chairman. The Board\u2019s primary tasks include determining the strategy, establishing policy frameworks, appointing and dismissing the members of the Executive Board, approving the annual plan and the budget and monitoring performance quality. Executive Board:<\/strong> The Board appoints the members of the Executive Board, which is responsible for the operational organisation. The Executive Board\u2019s tasks include formulating policy proposals, carrying out the day-to-day operational activities, deciding on the acceptance of new members, the certification policy and monitoring compliance with the rules.<\/p>\n

Advisory Council:<\/strong> The Advisory Council advises the Executive Board \u2013 both on request and on its own initiative \u2013 on the policy and the activities of the Payments Association.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>

Working groups<\/h2>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>

Tactical and operational policy preparation takes place in working groups, in collaboration with specialists from the supply side. The working groups can advise the Executive Board, both on request and on its own initiative. The most significant working groups are:<\/p>\n
