Payments are rapidly digitizing. Most people consider this to be convenient, because they can manage their banking activities paperless from home. Banks and payment institutions therefore provide accessible (digital) services and products, so vulnerable groups also have easy access to their bank. This infographic shows how digitization and accessibility of payments are progressing. <\/p>\nIn February we began our mission with Jandino Asporaat to make young people in the Netherlands better aware of secure banking. With catchy sketches, Jandino wittyly confronts young people with their unsafe payment behavior<\/span>, while teaching them to the <\/span>5 basic security guidelines<\/a>.<\/span><\/p>\n
Now it’s time for the next step, because we’re not there yet! Two fraud topics deserve extra attention: <\/span>money mules<\/a> and <\/span>phishing<\/a>. The format of the new skits is the same, but provides a little more explanation to get the message across. Just before a younster makes a mistake, Jandino alerts her or him about the proper safe behavior. Both videos will be brought to the attention of young adults aged 18 to 25, from October 18 to November 8 via YouTube, Instagram and Snapchat.
