Arjan Bol to become new Managing Director of Dutch Payments Association

On 12 December 2024, the Board of Betaalvereniging Nederland appointed Arjan Bol (53) as Managing Director starting 1 April 2025. After a short induction period, he will succeed Gijs Boudewijn (66), who will retire on 30 May 2025.

Arjan Bol has broad experience in financial services in general and in payments in particular. Amongst others, he was responsible for payments at ING Netherlands and held various positions at Mastercard, including the position of Country Manager for the Netherlands. He also serves as supervisor at various financial institutions active in payments.

The Board is extremely pleased with this appointment and wishes Arjan every success in his new position. The Payments Association will bid farewell to Gijs Boudewijn and welcome Arjan Bol with a symposium in May 2025.
